The role of Philanthropy Coordinator at Charlestown is a key position within the Philanthropy Department, designed for individuals passionate about community engagement and fundraising. This role involves managing donor records meticulously, coordinating gift giving, and playing an active role in the organization of events that bring together residents and staff. As a Philanthropy Coordinator, you will be instrumental in maintaining strong relationships with donors and stakeholders, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and tracked accurately. You will also support the execution of fundraising initiatives by generating request letters, managing data input, and orchestrating donor engagement activities.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $28.00, commensurate with experience, along with a part-time or full-time employment setup suited to your availability. The Philanthropy Coordinator will also serve as a critical liaison in coordinating meetings, including arranging venues, room setups, refreshments, and necessary materials, ensuring smooth and professional interactions. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and discretion. Experience working with senior populations is preferred, enhancing the meaningful interactions that this position facilitates.

Job Duties
- Managing and processing all gifts, including receiving, depositing, tracking, and acknowledgment letters
- executing fundraising initiatives to include generating request letters, the input of data, acknowledgment of donations, and organization of events
- tracking and coordination of donor engagement activities and event participation
- maintain an accurate database that assists with donor research, calls, and meetings
- providing support for meetings
- coordinating venue, room setup, refreshments, and materials
- preparing statistical and special reports as requested
