Job Requirements
- Minimum of eighteen years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of valid driver's license and auto insurance if using a vehicle
- Multitasker with pleasant bedside manner and knowledge of infection control
- Must be reliable, punctual, neat, and organized
- Eligible for employment verification through Department of Homeland Security and not listed on exclusion registries
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work on a timetable and respond to management direction
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Spanish language skills preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of personal care experience preferred
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients
- Demonstrated ability to work in diverse and inclusive environments
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
Job Duties
- Comply with state mandated electronic visit verification system
- Report changes in client condition or problems to immediate supervisor within 24 hours
- Report emergency or life-endangering situations to 9-1-1 and notify office immediately
- Complete all duties listed in individualized service plans
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including hygiene, transport, cleaning, food preparation, and errands
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment for clients
- Follow safety and infection control procedures including handwashing and use of disposable gloves
