This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees ethically and fairly. The position supports company health and wellness initiatives and involves direct patient intervention such as providing health and wellness services relevant to patients, consistent with state and federal laws. The pharmacist technician assists pharmacists in all tasks except those requiring professional judgment, ensuring that the right products, services, and care are delivered at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. The role requires maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and all sanitation and safety guidelines. It also includes providing health screenings, compounding medications, performing post-fill audits, and supporting non-dispensing services utilizing various platforms and resources.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • completion of national registration, certification, or licensure
  • understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

  • any previous comparable experience preferred
  • any equivalent pharmacy technician experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Support company health and wellness initiatives
  • understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required
  • assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment
  • provide a stellar customer experience ensuring accurate reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
  • support coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians
  • compound medications according to state and federal regulations
  • perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information
  • support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications
  • complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with laws and policies
  • provide additional health and wellness services allowed by law
  • comply with sanitation and safety regulations
  • identify and report unsafe conditions
  • comply with local, state, and federal regulations including reporting illegal activity
  • perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
