Job Requirements

  • Completed ASHP accredited PGY1
  • Minimum of 3 years pharmacist experience
  • Or completed ASHP accredited PGY1 and PGY2 and minimum 1 year experience
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience
  • California Pharmacist License - CA State Board of Pharmacy
  • ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Job Qualifications

  • Completed ASHP accredited PGY1
  • Completed ASHP accredited PGY2 (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years pharmacist experience or 1 year post PGY2
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience
  • California Pharmacist License - CA State Board of Pharmacy
  • ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Act as a department liaison
  • Coordinate and provide educational inservices and presentations
  • Organize and manage Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee agendas
  • Participate in medical staff advisory groups and multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee human resource management including staff appraisals and coaching
  • Manage pharmaceutical budget and provide financial input
  • Develop and implement pharmacy programs and clinical pathways
  • Analyze and report on therapy cost reductions and performance improvements
  • Ensure quality patient care and pharmacy service compliance
  • Lead and foster a positive work environment
  • Manage staff training, experiential education, and residency programs
  • Ensure regulatory compliance including preparation for inspections and policy maintenance
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination among pharmacy staff and departments
