Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferably previous pharmacy clerk experience
- Knowledge of essential pharmacy functions and prescription practices
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to operate computer systems and billing software
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Commitment to teamwork and positive interaction with staff
- Ability to respond sensitively to diverse patient populations
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of general prescription practices and procedures

Job Duties
- Perform all front desk activities of the clinic pharmacy
- Receive and process patient and family prescriptions
- Complete all prescriptions prescribed by CHA providers
- Follow all pharmacy and State of Nevada laws pertaining to pharmaceuticals
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Operate automated billing systems for prescription processing
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and patients
- Handle stressful situations professionally
- Utilize personal computer for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email
- Calculate figures and amounts for posting
- Prioritize work to ensure timely service
- Maintain pharmacy inventory records
- Support teamwork and positive interactions among clinic staff
- Respond appropriately to diverse patient populations
