The role of Peter B's Runner at Jack's Monterey is integral to the seamless delivery of food service within the restaurant. This non-exempt position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and is situated within the Food & Beverage division, emphasizing the importance of every detail in the guest dining experience. The Peter B's Runner is responsible for carrying out timely and courteous delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, ensuring that each interaction contributes positively to the overall dining atmosphere. This position demands an individual who is not only efficient in handling food safely but also possesses excellent interpersonal skills to enhance guest satisfaction.

The core duties of this role include managing the flow of food service by maintaining open communication with kitchen staff, accurately recognizing restaurant sections, table and seat numbers, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Attention to detail and menu knowledge is crucial, as the Peter B's Runner must be familiar with all menu items to answer guest questions confidently and professionally. The role also involves addressing guest complaints proactively or escalating concerns to management, which underscores the importance of problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for serving guests while complying with a sequence of customer service standards to positively impact the guests' experience
