Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- availability Monday through Friday during peak hours of 10 am to 3 pm preferred
- ability to administer basic pet medications after training
- must be bonded, insured, or willing to obtain bonding and insurance
- comfortable working with dogs and cats
- flexible schedule for 10-15 hours per week
- ability to relocate to or commute within Webster, TX area
Job Qualifications
- prior professional or volunteer pet care experience desired but not required
- willingness to learn and complete paid training
- passion for animal welfare and understanding of animal behavior
- ability to work a flexible part-time schedule
- comfortable driving between multiple client residences
- strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients
- sales skills to suggest pet products effectively
Job Duties
- provide private dog walking services
- perform cat sitting visits including meals and litter box maintenance
- administer common medications such as topical creams, drops, and pills when requested
- deliver customized pet care based on individual client and pet requirements
- build relationships with pets and pet owners to offer education and product suggestions
- maintain knowledge of local areas for client visits and safe driving
- ensure all pets are treated with respect and care during visits
