The role of Pet Care & Client Concierge at Sidekicks Stay & Play is integral to the daily operation and success of the facility. This full-time position involves a dynamic mix of hands-on pet care and exceptional client service responsibilities. Team members rotate between caring directly for pets and managing front desk tasks, ensuring a seamless guest experience from start to finish. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with animals, providing them with necessary enrichment activities, administering medication, and monitoring their health and well-being. Concurrently, it requires delivering friendly and efficient customer service, including welcoming clients, answering their inquiries, scheduling services, and processing check-ins and check-outs.

A typical day involves maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting environment by cleaning suites and play areas and assisting with grooming preparations when needed. Team members create daily report cards with photos to keep pet owners informed about their pets' activities and adjust care based on individual needs. The position demands reliability, compassion, and a keen eye for detail. Employees must be comfortable using complex computer systems and multitask effectively in a busy atmosphere. The work schedule averages 35 to 45 hours per week with varied shifts that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting the facility's commitment to flexible, comprehensive care. Wages range from $10 to $14 per hour, depending on experience and availability, reflecting competitive compensation for the responsibilities and skill set required.

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift 45 lbs unassisted (up to 100 lbs assisted)

Job Duties

  • Provide care and enrichment for dogs and cats (feeding, watering, cleaning, playtime, administering medication)
  • Monitor guest health, behavior, and comfort
  • Greet clients, answer calls, schedule services, and check pets in/out using our computer system
  • Create estimates, collect forms, and maintain an organized database
  • Keep the lobby and play areas tidy and inviting
  • Take and upload photos for client report cards
  • Assist with baths or grooming prep as needed
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure an excellent guest and client experience
