Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
One or more years of personal care experience preferred
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Ability to pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
Completion of state-required trainings including fundamentals of care, dementia care, first aid, CPR, and HIV training if applicable
Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work part-time day shift for 3-4 hours initially with potential for more

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Completion of state-required training including Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, and HIV training if not previously documented
Ability to work with or without reasonable accommodation
Strong observational and communication skills
Commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care

Job Duties

Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity and independence
Observes and reports changes in residents' conditions
Assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, and accurate documentation
Aids residents to and from dining and activities
Performs first aid and emergency response
Greets residents and visitors courteously and answers phones
Supports fire safety and infection control practices
Serves meals and assists with dining and kitchen maintenance
Assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers
Helps with apartment housekeeping and laundry
Attends training and staff meetings
Performs other related duties as assigned
