The role available at Whole Foods Market is for a Multi-Team Team Member within the retail store environment. This is an entry-level position where team members support multiple teams by performing duties related to customer service, stocking, and sanitation in assigned departments. The position requires providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and fellow team members to uphold a positive company image at all times. Key responsibilities include following departmental procedures to maximize sales through effective product preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising. Team members are responsible for preparing, packaging, weighing, and pricing products accurately, monitoring product freshness, completing necessary logs related to spoilage and temperature, and assisting with inventory checks. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment is also a critical aspect of the job, along with ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. The role requires punctuality, proper personal grooming, and readiness to work scheduled shifts including attending required trainings and meetings. Compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $24.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- Ability to perform hand use motions such as single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- Willingness to work in a wet and cold environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, bailers, and other heavy machinery

Job Duties
- Follow department procedures and maximize sales by preparing, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising product
- Prepare, package, weigh, and price products for sale
- Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper product rotation
- Ensure cases and shelves are clean and well-stocked
- Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep logs as required
- Assist with periodic inventory checks
- Arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Follow and comply, or ensure compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain or ensure maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
