Job Description

Pei Wei Asian Kitchen is a fast-casual restaurant chain known for providing fresh, flavorful Asian cuisine in a welcoming and energetic environment. With a commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional service, Pei Wei has established itself as a popular destination for customers seeking authentic Asian-inspired dishes with a modern twist. As a company, Pei Wei strives to create an inclusive and supportive workplace culture that values teamwork, leadership, and customer satisfaction. The company actively invests in training and development programs to help team members grow professionally and succeed in their roles. Employment at Pei Wei is typically offered as full-time or part-time positions, with competitive pay and opportunities for advancement within the organization.

The Shift Leader role at Pei Wei is a critical position directly supporting the management team and contributing significantly to the overall success of the restaurant. Shift Leaders are responsible for leading day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring that both front-of-the-house and kitchen activities run smoothly and according to company standards. This role requires a strong ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities, including guest service, team training, safety compliance, and operational procedures. A key aspect of the role is the ability to use back-office systems effectively for reporting, scheduling, and inventory control, ensuring that the restaurant meets its performance goals. Shift Leaders must exhibit strong communication skills to connect with team members, management, and regional staff, acting as a liaison and role model throughout their shifts. They are expected to take charge in the absence of management, providing leadership through coaching, delegation, and verification of tasks. Success in this role demands a passion for customer service, a commitment to company values, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.
