Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass pre-employment post offer background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Proven cooking experience
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and food safety regulations
  • Upbeat and friendly attitude
  • Open availability and flexible schedule

  • Able to bend and kneel through shift

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience, including line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook roles
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel and lift up to 25 pounds or more

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service i.e. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces. Using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Restock and/or break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift
  • Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring proper management of product waste
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met
  • Demonstrate speed and efficiency with the ability to multi-task and maintain organizational structure
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
