  • knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
  • previous prep or line cook experience
  • ability to prepare and present menu items with cook time requirements
  • understanding of English language
  • ability to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications
  • stock pantry station fully before the shift
  • setup, operate, breakdown, and clean all kitchen equipment
  • use proper handling of all chemicals used in the building
  • consistently use all prep tools and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • operate the POS system
  • learn restaurant menu and recipes and guide guests on choosing menu items between spicy and mild dishes, adjusting according to guest needs
  • use proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
  • use cleaning chemicals properly
  • follow dress code
  • perform duties associated with kitchen operations
  • work around various temperature levels in the kitchen
  • stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries
  • wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils, and maintain all areas of the restaurant
