Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • previous prep or line cook experience
  • ability to prepare and present menu items with cook time requirements
  • understanding of dish modifications due to guest requests including allergies or gluten free
  • reading, writing, and math skills
  • ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
  • understanding of English language
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to stand and walk for long periods
  • able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • able to hear and see with correction
  • must possess current Food Handler's Card where applicable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications
  • stock pantry station fully before the shift
  • setup, operate, breakdown, and clean all kitchen equipment
  • handle all chemicals used in the building properly
  • use all prep tools and equipment following safety guidelines
  • operate the POS system
  • learn the restaurant menu and recipes
  • guide guests on choosing menu items including spicy and mild options
  • modify dishes based on guest needs
  • apply proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • maintain cleanliness of the restaurant areas including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing utensils
  • comply with dress code
  • stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries
  • work around various kitchen temperatures
