Job Requirements
- Knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- previous prep or line cook experience
- ability to prepare and present menu items with cook time requirements
- understanding of dish modifications due to guest requests including allergies or gluten free
- reading, writing, and math skills
- ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
- understanding of English language
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- able to hear and see with correction
- must possess current Food Handler's Card where applicable

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications
- stock pantry station fully before the shift
- setup, operate, breakdown, and clean all kitchen equipment
- handle all chemicals used in the building properly
- use all prep tools and equipment following safety guidelines
- operate the POS system
- learn the restaurant menu and recipes
- guide guests on choosing menu items including spicy and mild options
- modify dishes based on guest needs
- apply proper sanitation and safety procedures
- maintain cleanliness of the restaurant areas including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing utensils
- comply with dress code
- stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries
- work around various kitchen temperatures
