Job Description

Pei Wei Asian Kitchen is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in fresh, made-to-order Asian cuisine. The position available is a Front of House (FOH) team member role which is essential to delivering Pei Wei's brand promise of excellent customer service. The employee will be responsible for greeting guests in a timely and professional manner, assisting them with menu information and how to enjoy the Pei Wei dining experience. This role involves taking and processing orders accurately whether customers are dining in, ordering takeout in person, by phone, or online. The FOH staff ensures that the front of the house is properly set up, maintained during service, and closed according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key responsibilities also include processing payments via cash or credit, making correct change, tabulating sales and transaction data via the Point of Sale (POS) system, and ensuring a clean, orderly front area including drink and condiment stations. The role requires teamwork, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining calm under pressure. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers, have attention to detail, and take pride in delivering quality service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ability to work on your feet for extended periods and handle tasks requiring some physical activity is also important. Job Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
previous experience as a cashier and operating a POS system
understanding of English language
must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively
basic math skills and computer proficiency
ability to work in a team environment
ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
physical ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction

Job Duties

Greet guests promptly and professionally
