The role available is for a Front of House (FOH) team member who will be responsible for greeting guests promptly and professionally, providing them with menu information and guiding them through the "How to Pei Wei" experience. This position requires efficiently fulfilling orders placed by guests, whether dining in, taking away, or ordering online or by phone. The FOH team member plays an essential part in maintaining the clean, organized front of the house area, handling customer transactions accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system, and ensuring that all customer needs are met with courtesy and attention.

This position involves comprehensive responsibilities including setup, maintenance, and closing duties of the front of the house in alignment with Pei Wei’s established standards. The candidate will process orders, manage payments through cash and credit card transactions, package take-home orders, and help maintain the cleanliness of areas including the drink and condiment stations. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure while upholding a high standard of customer service and integrity.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cashier and operating a POS system

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the overall set-up, maintenance and closing duties for the front of the house in accordance to Pei Wei SOP's
  • Process phone orders in a timely manner
  • Take and process customer orders into POS system
  • Process and total order on POS system and apply customer payment into register
  • Process credit cards, take cash and make correct change for customer payment
  • Greet and welcome customers entering the restaurant
  • Package take home orders for customers
  • Tabulate data regarding bills, total amounts, restaurant expenses in POS system
  • Maintain and clean front of house area including drink and condiment station
  • Follow dress code
  • Work around various levels of temperature, including warm to extremely warm temperatures in the kitchen
