Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years General Manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months Pei Wei Senior or Assistant Manager experience for internal candidates
  • certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations
  • ability to perform managerial duties daily
  • must obtain appropriate safe food handlers permit within 6 months or as local regulations require
  • ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per shift

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of designated restaurant
  • takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • increases sales and operating profit through marketing and internal opportunities
  • certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations, performing daily duties
  • fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks to management and hourly team members
  • recruits, hires, and trains full team per internal training specifications
  • provides ongoing leadership and development to management staff including P&L accountabilities, food and labor costs, safety and sanitation
  • acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • uses performance management tools to complete employee appraisals with coaching and feedback
  • ensures compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • manages timely repairs and maintenance of restaurant
  • handles administrative tasks like hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • performs regular line checks to maintain product quality
  • completes prep lists and order guides
  • responsible for cost and food inventories
  • obtains and maintains safe food handlers permit
