The company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences while fostering a respectful and engaging work environment for its employees. The Assistant Manager position at Pei Wei is a dynamic leadership role that calls for an experienced individual capable of independently managing day-to-day restaurant operations. This role requires someone who can lead the team effectively in both the dining room and kitchen environments, maintain high levels of food quality and safety, and support business objectives through strategic planning and staff development.

The Assistant Manager is entrusted with numerous responsibilities, from supervising food preparation and production to handling guest service issues with professionalism and composure. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive work atmosphere, ensuring safety and sanitation guidelines are adhered to, and managing inventory and cost controls in partnership with the General Manager. Acting as the restaurant's leader in the absence of the General Manager, this position demands strong communication skills, decision-making abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The role also supports recruiting, hiring, training new staff, and developing future managers and shift leaders. Proficiency in restaurant ordering systems and business forecasting is essential, as is the ability to manage schedules to optimize labor costs while maintaining optimal staffing levels.

The ideal candidate will have substantial management experience, preferably within the restaurant industry, and a clear understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house operations. This opportunity offers a chance to grow within a respected fast-casual dining company that values team collaboration, employee development, and delivering memorable dining experiences to its guests. Employment type is full-time with a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role also includes various employee benefits that support well-being and work-life balance.
