Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior front desk, concierge, customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
- Comfort with routinely shifting demands
- Social perceptiveness and ability to relate to children and how they interact with their families
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of medical insurance preferred
- Superior situational awareness and ability to react to urgent situations successfully
- Outstanding time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to calculate simple figures
- Quality focused and detail oriented
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs, including occasional travel to another site

Job Duties
- Greet families professionally both in person and on the phone
- Answer patient and family questions to the best of ability or seek clarification when needed
- Access empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
- Support patient care quality initiatives as directed
- Coordinate escalations and urgent issues to ensure timely and complete resolutions
- Collaborate and communicate with site leadership to facilitate management of complex patient issues
- Employ PM Pediatric Care's core values to help patients, families, and team members navigate PM systems before, during, and after a visit
- Monitor and manage patient flow throughout the waiting and registration process including assisting families with self-registration
- Keep current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology through all distributed education
- Register all patients and maintain accurate patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographics, insurance, and financial information while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage and act upon all incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence with proper documentation and storage
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all patient accounts adhering to all HIPAA guidelines
- Perform opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
- Execute other duties as assigned
