Job Description
The Broadmoor Campus is part of a leading multi-billion dollar health system known for its commitment to excellence in healthcare services and employee support. This expansive health system employs approximately 20,000 employees and maintains a strong focus on operational efficiency, compliance, and employee well-being. At the heart of its operations lies the insourced payroll department, which plays an essential role in ensuring timely and accurate compensation for one of the largest and most dynamic healthcare workforces in the region. The health system emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering an environment that respects and welcomes qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
The position of Payroll Supervisor - Hybrid at the Broadmoor Campus is a full-time role that offers a unique opportunity to lead a proficient payroll team responsible for complex bi-weekly payroll processing. The Payroll Supervisor will oversee payment processing for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. This leadership position is integral to managing payroll corrections, garnishments, and reporting functions with high accuracy and confidentiality. The role entails direct supervision of payroll professionals, including Payroll Specialists and Lead Payroll Specialists, and involves critical hiring and personnel management responsibilities.
The role demands strong leadership abilities to coordinate the day-to-day payroll operations effectively while maintaining quality and timeliness. The supervisor will input key priorities to the payroll team and provide guidance to employees and managers across the health system. Exceptional project management skills are essential as the payroll supervisor will independently lead assigned projects from initiation to successful completion. Key responsibilities include overseeing garnishment processes—including child support orders, tax levies, and student loan withholding—and ensuring compliance with related legal and health system requirements. The role also has an important focus on auditing payroll reports, resolving discrepancies before payroll distribution, and managing timecard accuracy in coordination with various internal teams and payroll software systems such as UKG Pro WFM and Workday.
Additionally, this position requires a comprehensive understanding of payroll systems and reporting tools. The supervisor will be involved in creating and managing various operational reports, handling confidential information, and collaborating across departments to support efficient payroll service delivery. The hybrid work structure provides a balance of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility, enhancing work-life balance for the chosen candidate.
This is a pivotal role within the health system’s payroll unit where strong communication, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams will drive success. Candidates with a background in accounting, business, IT, or related fields and extensive payroll experience—particularly in corporate or healthcare environments—will find this position well-aligned with their skills. Overall, the Payroll Supervisor will contribute significantly to the ongoing operational success and employee satisfaction in one of the most esteemed healthcare organizations in the region, making it an excellent career opportunity for motivated professionals looking to advance their payroll leadership experience in a dynamic and meaningful context.
