The Patient Transporter role at Saint Luke's North on Barry Rd is a vital part of the healthcare team, responsible for safely moving patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs or stretchers. This position operates under both manual and computerized job assignments, ensuring that patients are transported efficiently and securely to various locations within the hospital for procedures, tests, or other medical needs. Working in this role requires excellent communication with clinical nursing staff to coordinate patient moves seamlessly and maintain a high standard of care during transportation. Key responsibilities include utilizing proper infection prevention and patient transfer techniques, understanding the hospital layout to choose appropriate routes, and safeguarding patients’ tubes, lines, collection devices, and valuables during transit.

This part-time position offers a shift of 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM with 28 scheduled hours per week, including holiday and weekend rotation, providing flexible working hours for those seeking balance with other commitments.
