This full-time Patient Transporter role is a vital position within Banner Health’s Patient Transport department located at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. The position operates during the night shift from 6 PM to 6:30 AM and requires weekend and holiday rotations. The transporters serve an essential function by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the facility, using equipment such as wheelchairs and stretchers. The role demands physical endurance as transporters frequently walk the equivalent of 10-12 miles per shift in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates must hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification compliant with American Heart Association or equivalent standards. Banner Health offers competitive compensation, including a flat $1 per hour weekend shift differential and an 18 percent night shift differential where applicable.
