Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Less than one year of applicable experience
Ability to work rotating night shifts
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Physical ability to assist in patient transport and move equipment
Strong communication skills
Willingness to follow infection prevention and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Less than one year of experience in a healthcare or patient transport role preferred
Basic knowledge of infection prevention and patient transfer techniques
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate hospital transportation equipment such as wheelchairs and stretchers
Ability to follow detailed instructions and hospital protocols
Dependable and punctual with strong organizational skills

Job Duties

Utilize infection prevention techniques and patient transfer methods to ensure safe and efficient movement of patients
Communicate effectively with nursing clinical staff to coordinate patient transfers
Recognize when to ask for help or seek guidance during patient transport
Maintain and protect the integrity of patient tubes, lines, and collection devices during transport
Move patient valuables and medical equipment securely
Use appropriate routes to transport patients within the hospital
Follow hospital policies and procedures for patient safety and transportation
