Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of three months of on-the-job training
- Certification in CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC upon hire
- Ability to practice safe lifting techniques and manage patient mobility
- Willingness to work variable days including every other weekend
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace
- Compliance with required immunizations such as MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine if working onsite
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of three months of on-the-job training
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association upon hire or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross upon hire
- Experience in patient transportation in an acute hospital environment is desired
Job Duties
- Practicing safe lifting and techniques, transports patients by assisting patients in and out of cars, lifting patients on and off beds, moving patients to and from special services and treatment areas using wheelchairs, gurneys, or moveable beds
- Transports medications, patient charts, specimens, and blood appropriately as directed
- Transports bodies to the morgue and assists in placing them in the cooler
- Assists in moving bodies to the autopsy table
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities provided
