The Patient Service Coordinator role at MyEyeDr. is a frontline position vital to ensuring that every patient receives a seamless and personalized experience. This role primarily involves managing the front desk operations during patient check-in and check-out, coordinating appointments, handling multiple phone lines, and collaborating with office staff and doctors to deliver efficient patient care. The position requires exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, a friendly and patient-centric demeanor, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and excellent communication. No previous optical experience is necessary, as comprehensive training and tools will be provided to new hires to support their growth and understanding of the vision care industry. Candidates can expect to work occasional weekend and evening shifts as part of the role's responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Office General Manager, offering opportunities for career development and cross-training in other office support roles such as Eyewear Consultant and Optometric Technician.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work some weekend and evening shifts
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a front desk, reception, or customer facing role supporting administrative duties and clerical tasks
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure
  • Friendly, caring, and patient-centric with strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer savvy with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Team player willing to collaborate for the best patient experience

Job Duties

  • Provide patients a personalized check in/out process experience that creates a timely, seamless, and positive experience
  • Become a subject matter expert in insurance plans to help verify and educate patients on options as they check in/out for appointments
  • Assist in appointment confirmations and patient outreach in partnership with Doctor availability
  • Manage multiple phone lines, greet patients and walk-ins, schedule appointments and assist office staff duties as needed
  • Cross train to other office support roles such as Eyewear Consultants and Optometric Technicians as needed
  • Collaborate with doctor(s) and team members to provide seamless patient experience
