Job Requirements
- Prior patient service experience is preferred
- willing to train
- ability to lift and or move up to 100 pounds
- ability to work variable days and hours including some weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to comply with health and safety regulations

- prior patient service experience is preferred but willing to train
Job Duties
- Take patients menu selections prior to each meal
- assemble trays according to patients' menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner
- deliver trays and pick up trays from patients' rooms
- comply with dietary restrictions on special diets
- offer alternatives according to food allergies and sensitivities
- interact with nursing staff to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate
- assist dietitian with monitoring patients on specialized diets
- maintain accurate and current information for each patient on assigned unit
- comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- maintain a clean and sanitary working environment
- follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and delivering food
- complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required
- communicate patient-related concerns to appropriate personnel
- adhere to HIPAA confidentiality and patients' rights policies
- follow facility safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness policies
- perform other duties as assigned
