Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to learn and develop new skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
- dependable and able to work Tuesday to Saturday
- basic computer literacy
- strong communication skills
- customer-focused attitude
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- prior experience preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- 2 plus years of customer service or receptionist experience preferred
- experience as a medical receptionist is a plus
- experience in insurance billing and medical terminology preferred
- basic knowledge of office equipment including computers, scanners, printers, etc
- ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- must be dependable and able to work normal office hours including Saturdays
Job Duties
- Greet customers and assist with patient check-in
- answer phone inquiries including appointment scheduling and rescheduling, prospective and current patient inquiries, updating patient information, etc
- assist with billing including obtaining patient insurance information, billing insurance for services, and collecting payment from patients
- maintain a clean front desk and waiting area, manage office supplies, and handle incoming and outgoing mail
- ensure patient records are accurate and update patient information as needed while maintaining confidentiality
- support staff with administrative tasks
