Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in clinical office or related setting
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and EHR
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Customer service experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in a clinical office, health information management, or related department
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
  • Proficient in customer service and communication
  • Ability to think critically and work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with digital imaging software preferred

Job Duties

  • Work department incoming referral work queue daily
  • Assist patients with appointments in other specialist offices as requested or referred by physicians
  • Build relationships with physicians, OR staff, and insurance representatives to facilitate scheduling duties
  • Communicate with referring physician's office and clinical departments to coordinate surgical/procedural/diagnostic testing and DME
  • Assist in completing surgical orders and route as appropriate
  • Meet with surgical/procedural patients or caregivers to exchange information and provide pre-procedure instructions
  • Schedule patient/family surgical conferences
  • Perform general clerical duties including front/back desk assistance and appointment scheduling
  • Assist with patient MyChart activations and Telehealth visits
  • Manage physician calendars
  • Review patient charts to ensure required imaging and information are available
  • Round with patients to ensure excellent patient experience and assist with service recovery
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization
  • Determine and accept required payments or refer to financial counselors
