Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 3 years patient access, hotel, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience required
  • Previous patient access experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Hospitality degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in patient access, hotel, restaurant, retail, or customer service
  • Previous patient access experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Welcome patient and family members in a professional manner
  • Contact nursing staff for emergency medical needs and answer patient and visitor questions
  • Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions and ensure adherence to patient experience expectations
  • Promote and demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Oversee daily activities of front desk and lobby including tidiness
  • Greet patients upon arrival and navigate patient flow
  • Assist with check-in process and monitor patient registration tracker
  • Perform lobby rounding to update patients on wait times and ensure lobby safety, cleanliness, and comfort
  • Encourage and assist with patient enrollment in the Patient Portal
  • Empowered to make decisions to assist customers and escalate appropriately
  • Ensure each patient has the best experience and provide patient flow updates to leadership
  • Assist in resolving real-time patient concerns
