Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Temporary availability from late September 2025 through potentially the end of the year
- Ability to work full-time hours
- Experience in customer service or administrative roles
- Proficiency with dental software or willingness to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a pleasant demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to perform sterilization technician duties with provided training
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products
- Experience working in an office environment with phone answering and scheduling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively under time-sensitive conditions and meet multiple deadlines
Job Duties
- Answers phones promptly, professionally, and pleasantly
- Effectively uses dental software with no errors
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify dental insurance and coverage
- Post insurance payments and help with accounts receivables
- Greet, check-in/out patients and receive proper documentation in a timely manner
- Handle end of day closing procedures and prepare for next business day
- Prepare trays with appropriate setup
- Operate and maintain sterilizing equipment including autoclaves and ultrasonic devices
- Organize and stock supplies
- Clean and break down rooms
- Prepare operatories for patient treatments
- Assist patients with registration process and confirm copays and treatment plans
- Monitor patient waiting areas to ensure superior customer service
- Ensure waiting areas and restrooms meet CDC and safety guidelines
- Inform doctors promptly when patients arrive and communicate schedule changes
- Mail patient treatment reports to referring providers
- Mail welcome packets and referral pads to general dentists
- Coordinate and collaborate with peers and departments to ensure accurate treatment plans
- Work independently or in a team environment
- Assist others and respond to patient and staff requests in real time
- Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors
- Deliver positive and courteous interactions to patients
