Job Description

Alinea Orthodontics is a boutique orthodontic studio located in Santa Monica, California, that sets itself apart with a design-forward, warm, and welcoming environment. Led by board-certified orthodontist Dr. Jose Enrique Ortiz, this practice reimagines the traditional orthodontic experience by combining clinical excellence with an elevated, patient-centered atmosphere. The studio emphasizes a calm, inviting atmosphere where patients feel seen and cared for from the moment they walk in until their visit concludes. This creates an environment where both patients and staff thrive in comfort and professionalism.

The Patient Concierge at Alinea Orthodontics plays a vital role as the face and voice of the practice. This position is perfect for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience. The Patient Concierge is responsible for managing the front desk operations with warmth and efficiency, ensuring that every patient interaction is positive and memorable. As the first and last point of contact, the person in this role will contribute heavily to the practice's positive energy and smooth daily flow. Tasks include greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and overseeing patient communications. This role also involves verifying insurance, managing patient records using dental practice software such as GreyFinch and OrthoFi, and assisting with treatment coordination and financial discussions.

Working at Alinea comes with numerous benefits designed to support the employee and encourage professional growth. The practice offers consistent work hours, competitive pay, and a supportive, team-oriented culture that values honest communication and mutual respect. Employees have access to professional development and training opportunities, including the chance to cross-train in treatment coordination — a significant step forward in career advancement within the orthodontic field. Alinea boasts a beautifully designed studio space that enhances both patient and staff experiences, making it a desirable place to work in the heart of Santa Monica.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a minimum of one year of dental or orthodontic front desk experience who is polished, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Being comfortable with dental office management software is important, and familiarity with GreyFinch is a plus. The practice values bilingual English/Spanish candidates and relevant dental assistant experience, although these are not strict requirements. The position is available for full-time or part-time employment and offers additional bonuses based on performance. Importantly, Alinea Orthodontics does not provide visa sponsorship.

In summary, the Patient Concierge at Alinea Orthodontics is a key part of a forward-thinking orthodontic practice focused on delivering personalized, high-quality care in an environment that blends professional excellence with thoughtful design. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, managing operations smoothly, and growing their career in a supportive and innovative setting in Santa Monica, California.
