Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of Patient Care Technician course within three months of hire
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pulling, pushing, and manipulating items
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening including criminal background check, substance abuse testing, and annual TB screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Successful completion of Patient Care Technician course within three months of hire
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- One year of experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred
Job Duties
- Collects patient data and documents in EMR
- Obtains vital signs and chief complaint and records the data in the EMR
- Performs Point of Care Testing
- Performs EKG
- Sets up and assist physicians with procedures and examinations, i.e. pelvic exams and minor surgical procedures including but not limited to removal of ingrown toenails, removal of skin lesions and closure of minor lacerations
- Coordinates appointments, referrals, consults, test and/or procedures
- Assist with messages, call backs, referrals
- Assist with maintaining and cleaning medical equipment
- Assist with cleaning, and sterilizations of instruments
