Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
  • Six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course
  • Six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification maintained through re-training for duration of employment
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Job Duties

  • Provides basic patient care
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
  • Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
  • Provides general nursing care and routine treatment/procedures
  • Facilitates processing of patients
  • Provides clerical receptionist support
  • Provides Coordinating Support
  • Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
