The 5TA Medical team operates within a healthcare establishment dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to adult patients with a variety of complex medical conditions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation prior to providing patient care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification maintained through re-training for duration of employment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be maintained
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Job Duties
- Provides basic patient care
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient’s nurse
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment/procedures
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides coordinating support
- Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
