  • 2 years patient access, insurance verification
  • 2 years computer applications, typing, general office skills
  • 2 years clerical experience with the ability to coordinate, manage, and follow-up

Job Duties

  • Registration/check-in of patients for hospital and clinic appointments
  • Accurately maintain patient data, insurance information, and other pertinent information
  • Obtain necessary authorization forms and accurately document information in computer
  • Perform insurance verification functions, for both commercial and multi-state Medicaid plans
  • Assist in the management of work-lists related to referrals, denials, and authorization requirements
  • Assist with financial counseling functions for uninsured patients
  • Support new patient intake and patient scheduling functions as needed
  • Provide superior customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff
