Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caregivers
  • Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work evening shifts
  • Capacity to provide patient transport within the facility

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a healthcare reception or registration role preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes

Job Duties

  • Meet with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
  • Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
  • Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
  • Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
