Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caregivers
- Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work evening shifts
- Capacity to provide patient transport within the facility
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a healthcare reception or registration role preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Basic computer proficiency
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes
Job Duties
- Meet with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
- Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
- Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
