Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred
  • Ability to work day shifts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Competence in handling confidential patient information
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgement

Job Duties

  • Meet with patient and or patient’s caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
  • Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification and authorization as necessary
  • Escort and transport patients and visitors within facility, which may include a wheelchair or oxygen tank
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
  • Work with critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
