Job Requirements

- Previous experience in healthcare registration or patient services preferred
Job Duties
- Meets with patient and or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provides explanation of visit, instructions, and addresses concerns and questions
- Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification or authorization as necessary
- Escorts and transports patients and visitors within facility, including use of wheelchair or oxygen tank
- Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up
- Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
- Works with critical thinking, decisive judgement and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
