This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the clinic’s front office, acting as the primary point of contact for patients, staff, and referral sources. The Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for greeting patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring all necessary demographic and insurance information is accurately verified and updated, and managing the scheduling of follow-up appointments related to cast and measure, prosthetic care plans, and device delivery. This position requires excellent communication skills to address patient inquiries effectively and provide information about wait times and clinic services. In addition to addressing patient needs, the Front Desk Coordinator is tasked with handling financial transactions such as collecting deductibles, copays, and co-insurance payments, demonstrating integrity and transparency throughout every interaction. Administrative duties include working closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain vital patient information, maintaining complete and accurate electronic health records, and ensuring that all front office operations comply with company standards and safety policies. This role is critical to delivering a seamless and positive patient experience and supports Hanger’s mission of building lifelong trust by placing the patient at the center of every interaction.

Candidates for this position will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education and are expected to possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Familiarity with medical front office procedures, medical terminology, and insurance reimbursement processes is preferred, along with proficiency in computer use, including Windows-based software and email. This role requires the ability to type at least 30 words per minute accurately and to use various office equipment, including facsimile machines, postage machines, copiers, and calculators. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience
  • experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred
  • eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy
  • be a good fit for the job based on Talent Sorter assessment

Job Duties
