Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial bakery, pastry kitchen, or catering environment
  • Familiarity with fundamental baking techniques and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
  • Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

  • Understanding of food presentation and packaging standards for catered events

Job Duties

  • Prepare, bake, and finish a wide variety of items including cakes, cookies, tarts, croissants, breads, and specialty desserts
  • Follow standard recipes and production schedules accurately
  • Assist in the creation of custom desserts for catered events or special orders
  • Portion, label, and package pastries and baked goods for delivery and off-site catering
  • Organize and load items for transport ensuring presentation quality and product freshness
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and kitchen prep areas
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards including food storage and sanitation
  • Monitor inventory and report shortages or concerns to the pastry manager
  • Communicate clearly with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team members
  • Assist with dishwashing, cleanup, and restocking as needed
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a team-oriented environment
