Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum 4 years experience managing pastry or bakery kitchen
- Proven leadership with team management experience
- Strong knowledge of baking procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to innovate and improve pastry offerings
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of HACCP OSHA FDA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
- Certificate in culinary arts pastry-making or related field is a plus
- Minimum of 4 years managing a high-volume pastry/bakery kitchen
- Proven leadership supervising teams of 10 or more
- Expertise in product quality operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of baking procedures ingredients measurements mixing methods equipment and baking times
- Familiarity with trends in the catering industry preferred
- Highly detail-oriented organized self-motivated able to handle fast-paced workloads
- Ability to reduce waste while meeting production deadlines
- Hands-on approach with strong urgency in task execution
- Flexible availability for various shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- Thorough knowledge of HACCP OSHA FDA regulations and food safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Manage pastry production schedules ensuring accuracy timeliness and quality
- Sustain optimal food costs through strategic procurement and waste reduction
- Implement innovative baking techniques including preparation tempering baking and decorating
- Drive menu innovation by analyzing seasonal ingredients market trends and customer preferences
- Lead and mentor the pastry department fostering collaboration and high-performance
- Oversee training and development of team members ensuring consistent performance and growth
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations following HACCP OSHA and FDA guidelines
