Job Description

Bon Appetit Management Company is a distinguished player in the contract food service industry, passionately committed to delivering exceptional food quality and outstanding service to its clientele. Unlike many traditional restaurant management companies, Bon Appetit emphasizes culinary creativity, flexibility, and the avoidance of standardized recipes or central commissaries. This unique approach empowers its chefs and managers to stay ahead of culinary trends, experiment with innovative dishes, and offer fresh, imaginative food experiences in various cafes and food service locations. As part of the larger Compass Group USA, Bon Appetit benefits from extensive resources, robust infrastructure, and a supportive organizational culture geared towards professional growth and excellence. The company fosters a work environment where creativity is encouraged, risks are welcomed, and career advancement opportunities abound due to its rapid expansion and wide range of accounts.

The position of Pastry Sous Chef at Bon Appetit is a vital role within the Culinary Department, offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional who is passionate about pastry arts and leadership. This role involves assisting in the smooth operation of the culinary functions at a facility by aiding the Executive Chef in managing food preparation, menu development, and supervision of kitchen staff. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in crafting daily menu items, overseeing the quality and presentation of pastry offerings, and ensuring adherence to high standards of food safety and sanitation. You will also contribute to the innovation and execution of new culinary programs and special catering events, reflecting current trends and customer preferences. This position provides a platform for you to sharpen your management skills, expand your culinary expertise, and collaborate with a team that values creativity and continuous learning.

With a salary range of $80,000 to $85,000, this role not only offers competitive compensation but also provides various benefits that support your health, well-being, and professional development. Bon Appetit values its employees by offering comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and several wellness and employee assistance programs. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume foodservice environment with a commitment to quality and innovation will find this position highly rewarding. If you are eager to contribute your skills to a company that leads in contract food service with a passion for culinary excellence, Bon Appetit welcomes your application and offers a career pathway filled with potential growth and exciting opportunities.
