Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a club or hotel pastry kitchen
  • Serve safe certification or strong knowledge of sanitation
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended durations
  • Proficiency in English communication
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Physical ability to perform baking and decorating tasks
  • Understanding of kitchen equipment operation

Job Qualifications

  • A culinary degree or ACF equivalent preferred
  • Serve safe certification preferred or sound understanding of sanitation practices
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long durations
  • Able to understand and communicate in English
  • Effective communication skills with team members and managers

  • Sense of urgency and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Assist with the preparation of all baked goods including breads, desserts, pastries, and decorative pieces
  • Maintain production standards across all pastry shop stations
  • Ensure all food products meet highest quality standards
  • Oversee daily pastry cart offerings and menu specials
  • Assist in training new employees and stewards on shop procedures and recipes
  • Adhere to strict sanitation and safe food handling practices
  • Monitor daily banquet dessert and bread requirements and prepare items accordingly
