Job Requirements
- high school or general equivalency diploma
- culinary degree
- two years experience as pastry sous chef in a comparable hospitality environment
- progressive supervisory experience
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
- valid food handler's certificate or ability to obtain
- ServSafe certification within three months
- ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays
- U.S. employment eligibility
- ability to obtain and maintain valid non-gaming license
Job Qualifications

- bilingual English Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- assist with creating fresh seasonally appropriate ingredients
- assist with creating innovative desserts that pair well with food and wine menus
- plan menu items with quality ingredients while keeping within budget
- ensure correct execution of in-house recipes and quality control
- enforce health and safety standards
- oversee ordering and inventory for dessert menu
- maintain appropriate staffing levels and prepare work schedules
- supervise and develop direct reports by mentoring and coaching
- assign decision making and work functions to team members
- interview and recommend hires and performance appraisals
- develop and conduct staff training programs
- promote a positive team atmosphere and take proactive leadership
- recommend techniques to improve productivity and reduce costs
- assist with strategic planning for business growth
- keep abreast of culinary industry techniques and trends
- perform other related duties as assigned
