Job Description
Carver Road Hospitality introduced its first concept in Winter 2021 at Resorts World Las Vegas, establishing a sophisticated and modern dining destination in one of the world's most vibrant entertainment cities. The company specializes in innovative, high-quality hospitality experiences and has set a standard for excellence with this exclusive steakhouse concept. The venue spans 14,500 square feet and features an expansive bar and lounge area, a plush main dining room, and an inviting outdoor terrace with gardens overlooking the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The steakhouse combines mid-century modern classic nostalgia with contemporary design, technology, and culinary techniques to offer guests a unique interpretation of the classic casino steakhouse experience. The establishment emphasizes an evolving ambiance achieved through a comprehensive digital art program, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems that create an unforgettable dining atmosphere.
Carversteak, as the concept is known, prides itself on its exceptional menu selections that include dry-aged American steaks from artisan producers and Japanese-certified Wagyu steaks. The menu also features classic steakhouse preparations alongside seasonal ingredients and playful presentations, catering to a wide variety of dietary preferences including vegan options. Complementing the food offerings, the beverage program curated by famed mixologist Francesco Lafranconi showcases an extensive wine list, curated whiskey collection, and an Avant-Garden cocktail experience based on an onsite herb garden. The venue also hosts several private event spaces, ideal for intimate or large gatherings, including two dedicated private dining rooms and a large outdoor garden.
The Pastry Prep Cook position is a vital role within Carver Road Hospitality's culinary team. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, supporting the pastry chef and kitchen staff in maintaining the exceptional standards set by the steakhouse. This position requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Pastry Prep Cook will contribute to creating delightful, visually appealing desserts that complement the sophisticated menu and overall guest experience. Candidates for this role should enjoy working collaboratively within a morning team atmosphere and be committed to continuous improvement and learning.
This position demands a high level of cleanliness, organization, time management, and adherence to food safety regulations, including certification as a food handler. The role offers the opportunity to develop culinary skills in a renowned hospitality setting, with a supportive team and a culture that values integrity and professionalism. While previous experience in a pastry or baking environment is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to advance their careers in the culinary arts. The work environment requires physical stamina and flexibility with schedules that may include varying shifts, weekends, and holidays. Carver Road Hospitality offers competitive pay and benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance to eligible employees. As an equal opportunity employer, the company values diversity and inclusion, providing a dynamic and supportive workplace where talent and dedication are recognized and rewarded.
