Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in baking or culinary environment preferred
- Certification in food safety
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Background in the baking industry or a related field
- Proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
- Certification in food safety is necessary
- Ability to understand basic mathematical principles and execute accurate counting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities in interactions with others
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
- Willingness to utilize personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms as required
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- Set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize ingredients
- Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
- Safely employ kitchen tools such as knives when engaging in food prep activities
- Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
- Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work to prevent the spread of germs
- Demonstrate commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting others
- Abide by Aramark safety policies emphasizing food safety and sanitation practices
- Maintain security of company assets through strict adherence to designated safety measures
