Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous baking or pastry experience preferred
  • certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and guidelines precisely
  • good physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and handling heavy equipment
  • ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
  • compliance with all safety and sanitation policies
  • availability to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms as required

Job Qualifications

  • Background in baking industry or related field
  • proven understanding of baking practices and food safety protocols
  • certification in food safety
  • ability to understand basic mathematical principles and perform accurate counting
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal skills in interactions with others
  • ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • ability to use personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • set up workstation with required baking supplies and equipment
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other tasks to organize ingredients
  • use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • safely employ kitchen tools such as knives during food prep activities
  • implement proper storage practices as per food safety policies
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • abide by Aramark safety policies and food safety and sanitation practices
  • maintain the security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
