Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous baking or pastry experience preferred
- certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and guidelines precisely
- good physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and handling heavy equipment
- ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
- compliance with all safety and sanitation policies
- availability to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms as required
Job Qualifications
- Background in baking industry or related field
- proven understanding of baking practices and food safety protocols
- certification in food safety
- ability to understand basic mathematical principles and perform accurate counting
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong interpersonal skills in interactions with others
- ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
- ability to use personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- set up workstation with required baking supplies and equipment
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other tasks to organize ingredients
- use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
- safely employ kitchen tools such as knives during food prep activities
- implement proper storage practices as per food safety policies
- sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work
- provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
- abide by Aramark safety policies and food safety and sanitation practices
- maintain the security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
