Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in baking or food preparation preferred
  • certification in food safety is required or must be obtainable
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • willingness to follow safety protocols and wear PPE and uniforms as required

Job Qualifications

  • Background in baking industry or related field
  • understanding of baking practices and food safety protocols
  • certification or willingness to obtain certification in food safety
  • basic mathematical skills for accurate measurement and counting
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal abilities
  • physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • ability to use Personal Protective Equipment and comply with uniform requirements

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • set up workstation with required baking supplies and equipment
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, and organize ingredients
  • use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • safely employ kitchen tools such as knives during food preparation
  • implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after work
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • abide by Aramark safety policies focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • maintain security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
