Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in baking or pastry making preferred
- Certification in food safety required
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong commitment to hygiene and sanitation standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms
Job Qualifications
- Background in the baking industry or a related field
- Proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
- Certification in food safety
- Knowledge of basic mathematical principles and accurate counting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and wear designated uniforms
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- Set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize ingredients
- Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
- Safely employ kitchen tools, such as knives, during food preparation
- Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
- Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work to prevent germ spread
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests, clients, colleagues, and customers
- Abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing food safety and sanitation
- Maintain security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
