Delano Miami Beach is an iconic luxury hotel renowned for its historic charm and contemporary sophistication. Slated to reopen in 2026, the hotel promises a unique blend of timeless elegance and modern amenities, aiming to redefine luxury lifestyle hospitality. With 171 exquisitely designed rooms and multiple distinctive food and beverage concepts, Delano Miami Beach is set to become the flagship location of the Delano brand. The hotel will feature its famous walk-in pool alongside a new amenity deck pool, offering stunning ocean views that enhance guests' experiences. As a leader in luxury hospitality, Delano Miami Beach is dedicated to providing exceptional service and memorable stays to its guests.

We are currently seeking a qualified Pastry Line Cook II to join our esteemed culinary team during the hotel's re-opening phase. This position is instrumental in supporting the daily pastry kitchen operations under the guidance of the Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef. The Pastry Line Cook II will be responsible for preparing and executing a diverse array of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring each item meets the brand's high standards for quality, presentation, and taste. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, culinary skill, and consistency to maintain the elevated standards that Delano Miami Beach is known for.

The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive kitchen environment while adhering to strict health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including HACCP standards. This position involves maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the pastry kitchen, managing inventory, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Additionally, the Pastry Line Cook II will support the senior pastry team with production and service execution, ready to perform various related tasks as needed to uphold the exceptional guest experience that is central to Delano's hospitality philosophy. The role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, often demanding physical stamina and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Flexible availability for weekends and holidays
  • Experience in pastry or baking role
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain high attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a pastry or baking role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant
  • Formal culinary or pastry training preferred
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques, baking fundamentals, and dessert plating
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a high-level attention to detail
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with team members and departments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Job Duties

  • Prepare and execute a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in daily mise en place and ensure readiness for service
  • Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation across all pastry offerings
  • Support senior pastry team members in production and service execution
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients in compliance with food safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards)
  • Assist with inventory management and notify leadership of shortages or discrepancies
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen
  • Perform various related tasks as needed to provide exceptional guest service
